A friend recommended this book to me and I just started. Has anyone else read or heard of it?

I just finished this book and it's one of the best fantasy books I've read in a long time. It's the 1st book in a trilogy and I can't wait for the 2nd one to be finished. I encourage everyone to check it out.

yeah

i read it about six months ago and I fell in love with it. i was telling all my friends at the time to read it but it kind of fell of deaf ears. there's something about gushing all over something, especially when one is recommending, that makes the listener not want to see, read, experience it or at least delay it.

to think that this was the author's debut work is quite impressive. i'm also a sucker for the whole story within a story device. i was in a reading group at the time and some of the people in the group really disliked kvothe and it soured them on really loving the work as a whole. what did you think of kvothe?
