1) When the Watchmen comes out in early March that you review it. I wouldn't worry about Spoilers, since I'd expect that those who want to see it have already read the graphic novel.
2) A much taller order the Hugo award winning book The Yiddish Policemen’s Union by Michael Chabon. I haven't had the chance to read/pick this up but it did win a lot of awards. If any of you have read it, could you give your thoughts without any major spoilers?
3) What are your opinions of the new Street Fighter game coming out? From what I have seen online it looks slow and clunky. While it might appeal for throwback reasons, haven't we gotten more sophisticated in our fighting games since Street Fighter 2? Why go backwards merely to be retro?
OMG suggestions! I love things that are numbered
1. For sure we will review it. And not only that, one of us will probably be dressed as Rorschach while recording the podcast.
2. I'll add it to my list of books - The Stand can wait a bit longer to be finished and I can most likely assume that Flagg isn't destroyed.
3. From what I've seen in previews, its attempting to wow us with graphics and "realism" of character movements, when in fact its only going to point out that the graphics could be better and more fluid. Street Fighter is one of those classic games you keep your old systems around for. You want to pwn somebody using your old school controller and moves. Honestly, I dont want to use and xbox controller to play street fighter; it would seem like I was betraying the old game by having so many buttons, yet the moves I truly remember performing are locking into my fingertip memory for another controller.
I would play the new SF at a friends house if he had it, for about 20 min, then realize I missed my old games and probably go play the old Mortal Kombat.
I light fires.
